We're a true mom-and-pop shop, each candle is made with a dedication that reflects our love for this craft, and the candle making process.

We are committed to using only the highest quality, clean ingredients in our candles. We handcraft our candles with natural coconut wax, a sustainable, eco-friendly option that burns cleanly and offers a long-lasting, amazing scent throw. Our wicks are lead and zinc-free, ensuring a safe, even burn with minimal soot. We pair these with phthalate-free fragrance oils, made without harmful chemicals. Together, these materials create non-toxic, environmentally friendly candles that you can feel good about burning in your home.

My wife, who provides all of our beautiful artwork, and I work side by side. Our packaging is stamped by hand using two ink stamps and one pad, making each order feel special and personal.

At Candles By John, every candle is a labor of love, crafted with meticulous care. I personally oversee every step of the process, from setting the wicks and melting the wax to blending the fragrances and hand-pouring each candle. After pouring, I carefully set them to cure, clean each container, and apply the labels.
